Spectator tickets

The XTX Markets London Chess Classic welcomes chess fans who want to watch all the action from the tournament. Spectators will be able to view the games live in the playing hall, or with live grandmaster analysis in the commentary room, both in the incredible setting of the Emirates Stadium. There will also be an area set aside for casual chess games.

Play begins each day at 4pm and should finish by around 9pm each evening.

Spectator tickets are £15 per day, with a season ticket for all 7 days of play costing £60.

Players in any festival event (FIDE Masters/FIDE U-2000/Super Blitz Qualifiers/Rapidplays/Simuls/Lectures) are entitled to a spectator ticket on the day(s) their events are taking place as part of the entry fee.

Schedule

There will be 4 games played consecutively per round.

Round 1: Friday 29th November @ 4pm

Round 2: Saturday 30th November @ 4pm

Round 3: Sunday 1st December @ 4pm

Round 4: Monday 2nd December @ 4pm

Round 5: Tuesday 3rd December @ 4pm

Rest Day: Wednesday 4th December

Round 6: Thursday 5th December @ 4pm

Round 7: Friday 6th December @ 4pm

Round 8: Saturday 7th December @ 4pm

Time Control

90 minutes for 40 moves, plus 30 minutes until the end of the game, with 30-second increment for each move starting from move one.

Photography

Spectators must use either a camera or video equipment. The camera’s flash should be switched off. Mobile phones are not permitted in the playing area and may not be used to take photographs at any time during play.

Spectators are welcome to take photographs and/or video footage of the tournament for the following amount of time:

-          The first 5 minutes of the round

The above regulations notwithstanding, the tournament’s official Press Officers are entitled to take photographs and/or video footage at other times during play with the permission of an arbiter.
